Two recent publications

Two stories went live this fall in online journals.

In November, The Write Launch published “Aquarium Life” in their “long short-story” category. In this futuristic world, those who can afford to live in climate-protected neighborhood domes and provide their children with genetic enhancements. When twelve-year-old Henry meets Hoon, who belongs to one of the families that live outside the domes and travel from place to place to avoid extreme weather, his eyes open to new realities. In September, The Bangalore Review published, “Ford Man,” the story of a stubborn, aging father who is too proud to accept his adult son Hobson’s gift of a self-driving car. Meanwhile, Hobson struggles with another form of modernity as his once husband makes her final transition to female. Read Hobson’s story.
